Message My you chevy guys are sensitive! I wasn't the one that said Corvettes have "won" Le Mans 5 of the last 6 years; what I stated was the truth. I didn't say that the only year the the Z32 entered Le Mans it "won". I just pointed out that it came in 5th; (It's first year out I might add) The fact that it beat every class other than unlimited is pretty impressive.

As to your beloved plastic fantasy, I believe it was first introduced in 1953; talk about a long awkward adolescence! Some might even call it retarded.

Now one might get the impression that I am anti-American when it come to automobiles, but such is not the case. In fact I would point to the "Blue Oval" boys if you want to see what the red, white and blue can do when we get serious. In 1966 Ford took on all comers in all classes with the GT40 and came in 1,2,3; beating the absolute best the world had to offer, and did so again the next three years before withdrawing from the contest having proved their point. By the way, if you really want the best the USA has to offer cost no object check it out:

p.s. This All-American doesn't use leaf springs to generate it's 1 g on the skidpad, nor does it use pushrods to make 550 "SAE Certified" horses...
